Maxim Shalygin: Songs of Holy Fools

Portrait of a woman in a bright evening dress (Andrea Conangla). The index finger of one hand is bent and lies above the eye like an eyebrow. Black artificial eyelashes are glued to it.

Young singers and ensembles locate their contemporary musical work along genre interfaces. From the tradition of art song, borders between early music, new music and pop can be heard.

Andrea Conangla, Viktoriia Vitrenko, the Neue Kammer and the TRIO vis-à-vis present various song concepts by Igor C. Silva, Sara Glojnarić, Gilles Schuehmacher, Sarvenaz Safari, Björk and Maxim Shalygin.

This is the final concert of the “InScene: Vokal” funding program.

The Podium Present, sponsored by the German Music Council, supports young soloists and ensembles on their path to professionalism.

When you think of Indonesia, the spicy scents of the oriental kitchen probably come to mind. But perhaps also wajang puppets, chirping monkeys swinging through the jungle, or a volcano that could erupt at any moment. Or the traditional dances in beautiful clothing.
