Utrechts Requiem Foundation initiates a project ’Spiegels’ (Mirrows) which takes place in the period from November 2025 till May 2026.

‘We are mirrors for each other. Through others, you see yourself. Through you, others see themselves. We are more alike than we sometimes think, yet our lives are not the same. What makes the difference? Why do doors open for you that remain closed to others? In this concert series, we look into six mirrors; six protagonists reveal something of themselves, and thus also of us’.

The anniversary concert “Mirrors” begins in February 2026. The protagonists are people who want to participate in our society, but for whom doors often remain closed. They take the stage themselves, among professional singers and top musicians, to bring their life stories to the forefront. Seven writers, including Arthur Japin and Nisrine Mbarki, wrote the lyrics. Seven renowned composers, including Calliope Tsoupaki and Monique Krus, wrote the music.
