Oscar van Hemel: chamber works

From 1940 to 1960, Oscar van Hemel was one of the most performed Dutch composers (1892-1981). Granddaughter and violinist Muriël van Hemel brings his chamber music back to the spotlight with her Van Hemel Ensemble. She will shed light on these almost forgotten gems from different angles in a fascinating story about that bygone era.

Works for violin and piano, piano trio, string quartet and trombone quartet will be performed. But also works for soprano and the beautiful organ of the Catharina Church of Roden.
