Peter Kerkelov: la grande tristezza
On March 5, 2026, WISE: Wien – International Soloists Ensemble invites you to a special concert evening at the Borromäus Saal: the presentation of Trio Infinito’s debut album, which also serves as the Announcement Concert of the CRO-ArT Chamber Music Festival 2026.
The Bulgarian musicians Martin Stoyanov (clarinet), Syon Najman (violoncello) and Gergana Nestorova (piano) will present the concert programme of their debut album, featuring two central works of late Romantic chamber music:
Johannes Brahms – Trio in A minor, Op. 114
Alexander von Zemlinsky – Trio in D minor, Op. 3
A special highlight of the evening will be the world premiere of the new work La grande tristezza by the renowned Bulgarian composer Peter Kerkelov, composed especially for Trio Infinito’s debut album.
The programme is complemented by a quartet by Croatian composer Frano Parać, featuring violinist and Artistic Director of the CRO-ArT Festival, Andrea Nikolić, as guest.
