Petra Strahovnik: Re/Set
At the Frequenz Festival der Klangkunst in Kiel, KNM Ensemble Berlin premieres »Re/Set«, an immersive 45-minute work for six instruments and electronics by Petra Strahovnik. The piece translates the composer’s experience with Long Covid into a meditative soundscape, using Feldman-inspired minimalism to reflect a fragile physical state. By weaving modern trauma research together with ancient practices like Yoga Nidra and Vipassana, the work centers on breath and healing. Through ritualistic gestures, »Re/Set« offers a space for the body and mind to reconnect and begin anew.
