Piet-Jan van Rossum & Andries van Rossem

Concert series ‘Aardlek: urgent matters’ brings today’s music to Apeldoorn and Arnhem. With music by Piet-Jan van Rossum and poet Mischa Andriessen as a special guest

Aardlek connects current themes with new compositions, commissioned for the Ereprijs. Guests from different disciplines (including philosophy, design, literature, poetry, science) share their ideas and questions with the audience and with the composers present in an informal setting. The concerts take place in ACEC in Apeldoorn and Museum Arnhem. Each series of concerts has a specific theme that is processed into a composition by different composers from their own perspective. The composers come from different generations and have different cultural backgrounds. The theme for the 2023 concert season is ‘Somethingism’.
