René Samson: Samsoniade

Sunday afternoon, September 10 at 2pm, the René Samson Foundation will present the second Samsoniade, a concert entirely devoted to René’s rich chamber music oeuvre. As with the first edition, the concert will take place in the Uilenburger Synagogue in Amsterdam.

The performers and the program have also been announced. Cellist Doris Hochscheid, pianists Shuann Chai and Frans van Ruth, clarinettist Lars Wouters van den Oudenweijer and baritone Mattijs van de Woerd can be heard in a very varied programme: from B.G. & Co. for clarinet, cello and piano to the Four Whitman Songs for baritone and piano.

Maxim Shalygin: Khôra

Award-winning Ukrainian harpsichordist Dmytro Kokoshynskyy brings his programme Music for These Troubled Times to the third edition of Festival Le Rose, in the Galleria on the first floor of Villa Togni in Gussago. The evening is built around the live performance of Maxim Shalygin’s contemporary masterpiece, “Khôra” for solo harpsichord.
