Rijndert van Woudenberg / Guus Janssen

Three adventurous musicians have joined forces in Trio Karawane.

They take you on a world tour and express the grandeur of nature. From sultry songs from the Amazon basin (Villa-Lobos) to melancholic music that echoes the endless grasslands and inexorable mountain peaks of Uzbekistan (Jakhongir Shukur). Walks along lovely valleys and flowery hedges sound in the English Folksongs by Benjamin Britten. But also cheerful folk music, downright groovy berimbao music from the slums of Rio de Janeiro (Mestre Claudinei) is also on the repertoire, as well as fascinating, compelling trio works by the Dutch composers Guus Janssen and Rijndert van Woudenberg.
