The Leading Voices Festival, special project choir, is formed out of singers from both the Netherlands Student Chamber Choir and the Utrecht Studenten Cantorij. Conductors of these choirs are Beni Csillag and Fokko Oldenhuis. On this occasion Beni Csillag will conduct the two different pieces the choir will perform.

General Rudolf George Escher was born on January 8th, 1912 in Amsterdam. He was the son of Emma Brosy and geologist Berend George Escher, who also gave him piano lessons. On March 17th, 1989, Escher died from an incurable liver disease.
