Simeon ten Holt: Canto Ostinato 2.0 (Schneeman)
Canto Ostinato 2.0 brings together minimal music, electronic, and worldly sounds.
Simeon ten Holt’s iconic composition has been filling venues for half a century and is now receiving a radical update for the new generation. Think of the dreamy soundscapes of Nils Frahm, the electronic energy of Jon Hopkins, and the mystical sounds of Eastern music. The melodious melodies and repetitive patterns, reminiscent of the loops and arpeggiators of electronic music, make Canto a musical journey in which many listeners lose themselves. In the 2.0 version, the organic sounds of acoustic keyboards, live percussion, and the mystical Turkish ney merge with a modern, deep electronic sound.
This time, no classical chairs, but a space where you can fully immerse yourself in an audiovisual experience. The music and light show create a modern, eclectic experience that blurs boundaries.
