Simeon ten Holt: Canto Ostinato (workshop)

The legendary composer Simeon ten Holt would have turned 100 this year. And we celebrate that with various performances of his masterpiece: Canto Ostinato .

Amateur singers will also get the chance at CityProms this year to get started with this masterpiece. In a few rehearsals they study a number of fragments from the Canto under the direction of conductor Maria van Nieukerken . Each voice group is supported by a singer from PA’dam, with vocal tips and guidance.

They will present the result on Sunday afternoon 25 June at 4.30 pm on the main stage at Wilhelminaplein  Leeuwaarden.
