Simeon ten Holt: Canto Ostinato (Jeroen van Veen)
Lying or sitting, let the ‘Canto’ roll over you.
Simeon ten Holt wrote his Canto Ostinato for keyboard instruments, which gives the performer a great deal of freedom in the performance of the work. This determines not only what and how it sounds, but also how often patterns and sections are repeated. This has resulted in a flexible composition, in which the length can vary from 60 to 90 minutes. At this special park concert Jeroen plays him in about 75 minutes.
You can attend the concert sitting (there are seats) or…More Bring your camping mat or picnic blanket and let the music wash over you!
