Simeon ten Holt: Canto Ostinato (Natalon Quartet)

The Natalon Quartet, consisting of Petra van Oort, Laura Sandee, Robert Lambermont and Anna van Nieukerken, is a unique collaboration of experienced pianists with a shared passion for the music of Simeon ten Holt.

This quartet has specialized in the music of Simeon ten Holt and has the honor of being the only one in the world to perform all of this composer’s compositions for four keyboard instruments.

Experts praise their honest approach, which does justice to the wishes and requirements of Simeon ten Holt himself.

A concert with these four pianists is always a special experience. The pianists grant each other their musical ideas, space and time. Every concert is different, every concert is an adventure.

The Natalon Quartet is the only four-grand piano quartet in the world to perform all of Simeon ten Holt’s compositions for multiple keyboard instruments in a permanent formation for more than 20 years. Their honest approach is praised by experts.

Robert Lambermont is a Simeon Ten Holt interpreter from the very beginning. Partly due to Robert’s long-standing friendship with Simeon ten Holt, the quartet interprets his compositions according to the composer’s preferences and thus remains closest to the source. Ten Holt even called Robert Lambermont one of the warmest advocates of his music. The pianists regularly gave concerts at his invitation and Ten Holt was the main sponsor of their first CD Canto Ostinato.

By performing the rich musical heritage, the Natalon Quartet meets the versatility of Simeon ten Holt, and pays tribute to his diverse compositions in a unique and impressive way, which are still performed worldwide.
