Simeon ten Holt: Canto Ostinato on Organ
City organist Toon Hagen will play the Canto Ostinato on Thursday evening, August 25, 2022 in the Grote Kerk on Loolaan. This famous composition by Simeon ten Holt is a beautiful musical, perhaps even meditative journey for both the organist and the listener. In the composition, the arts of composing and performing come together in a unique creative playing field. As a result, no two versions are the same. City poet Herman Kattemölle will introduce the music with a poem.
The concert is free to attend and starts at 20:00 (doors open from 19:30). A collection will be held at the end of the concert. Proceeds benefit the maintenance of the organ.
