Simeon ten Holt: Canto Ostinato (Simeon Kwartet)

Canto Ostinato (1977-1979) is Simeon ten Holt’s most famous work and its popularity has only increased. Canto was created while playing on the keyboard and Ten Holt preferred to refer to the structure as the development of a genetic code. The work is performed in CODA in the context of two exhibitions of digital art: Behind the screens – 50 years of programming and Coding: craft of the 21st century.
