Simeon ten Holt: Canto Ostinato (Simeon Quartet)

On Saturday 13 May at 20:00 the Simeon Quartet will play Canto Ostinato by Simeon ten Holt in Musis Arnhem. This concert is also the release of their new CD. At the start of the concert, the CD will be presented by Radio 1 presenter Niels Heithuis to Rámon Gieling, the maker of the intriguing documentary ‘Over Canto’.

Canto Ostinato is performed on four cloverleaf wings around which the audience sits. The Simeon Quartet takes the audience on an hour and a half experience of Simeon ten Holt’s masterpiece. An experience that is more like a ritual than a concert. Canto Ostinato means losing yourself in a trance and a primal feeling. Now a beautiful and unique tradition in the Netherlands.
