Celia Swart en Simeon ten Holt
Enter the midsummer night to the relaxing sounds of Canto Ostinato! Canto Ostinato has become a classic and one of the most popular Dutch compositions. Last year, Podium21 premiered a performance in an unprecedented setting with organ, harp and pan flute. Due to the great enthusiasm, a performance with this line-up will take place again this year, on the longest day of the year! What is extra special is that a new work will also premiere this evening: the promising composer Celia Swart wrote a new work for organ and pan flute, Shifting presence. This work will sound like a ‘prelude’ to Canto Ostinato. In short: a special midsummer evening! The performance is in the hands of organist Geerten van de Wetering, pan flutist Matthijs Koene and harpist Beate Loonstra.
To further experience the ritual character of Canto Ostinato, in addition to regular seats, a limited number of beanbag places are available to the public for this performance. This way, lying in a beanbag, you can immerse yourself in the soothing sounds of Canto Ostinato!
