Wim te Groen is a pianist and composer.

He has been composing music on a grand piano from an early age. Chopin, Beethoven and the music of Simeon ten Holt inspire him.

His work is largely written for the balfolk dance style. Music and dance are strongly linked there. He likes subtle narrative melodies with a lot of structure and variations in rhythms.

The Canto Ostinato sounds in a very unique way in this concert. Many call the interpretation of this pianist and composer: intimate, sensitive, calm due to a special tempo and very narrative due to intense climaxes and very small passages.
