The Scent of Light (Natalon in E)

The Scent of Light is a performance that interprets light via sound and scent to create a unique synesthetic experience. It is an invitation to break away from the mundane, transcend human perception, and explore our profound and intertwined sensory capabilities.

A concept developed by Escforescent, with a solo piano performance by Justin Snyder and scent compositions by Sfumato Fragrances.

Program:

  • NATALON IN E – Simeon ten Holt
  • HIGH AND LOW – Molly Joyce
  • PHRYGIAN GATES – John Adams

The Scent of Light is the first component of our two-part conceptual musical series paired with out Winter 2022 exhibition. The second concert, Liquid Memories, also created by Snyder, Escforescent, and Sfumato will occur May 13th. Visit liquidmemories.eventbrite.com for information and to reserve tickets.

A Singer’s Farewell Semi-staged performance with beautiful music from the Romantic period. There was a time when increasing age meant wisdom and respect. That is no longer self-evident. Singing at the highest level has a limited duration. At some point, singers say goodbye to the family from which they seemed inseparable.
