Tilen Lebar: One Minute Symphony ‘Pok’
Fireworks and champagne. To ring in the new year appropriately, we are celebrating a grand, spectacular party on stage with the Residentie Orkest. Exuberant, as the Americans do. For this, conductor Andrew Grams, a beloved guest with our orchestra, brings great repertoire from America, with work by Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin and Aaron Copland. The work of these American composers is known for their versatility and their embrace of progress, new musical styles and entertainment. Entertainment, but with in-depth classical knowledge and skills of music in which they do not shy away from musicals, jazz and the wild west. Guest conductor Grams brings his cheerful energy and eclectic background to this.
Young Slovens-Dutch composer Tilen Lebar has been asked to write a new piece for the Residentie orchestra’s serie ‘One Minute Symphony’ to start the festive New Year program with.
