
Victoria Vita Poleva: Langsam
Founded by the Council of Ministers of Ukraine in November 1918, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine is considered one of the best symphony orchestras in Eastern Europe. The German-Uzbek pianist Nuron Mukumi was born in 1996 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. At the age of six he began piano lessons in the class of Prof. Tamara Popovich in Tashkent. A year later he began conducting training with Prof. Vladimir Neymer.
Volodymyr Sirenko’s conducting debut took place in 1983 at the Kyiv Philharmonic, where he performed works by Stravinsky, Schoenberg and Boulez. In 1989 Sirenko graduated from the Kyiv Conservatory with a degree in conducting under Prof. Allin Vlasenko. He has been Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine since 1999.
