Ville Raasakka: The Harvest

The Harvest for orchestra by Ville Raasakka is on the program of Oulu Sinfonia at the Ostrobothnian Contemporary Music Festival.

The 20th Ostrobothnian Contemporary Music Festival brings to Oulu the freshest winds of musical artistry from both local and international realms.

Julia Wolfe enjoys international cult status. Her hair-raising piece Wind in My Hair blends minimalism and experimental electronic music into a concerto that shakes the senses. Prepare to embrace the power of the music’s forceful surge!

Andrew Norman’s Play series earned him the 2017 Grawemeyer Award, often referred to as the Nobel Prize of composition. Level 3, delving into the realms of free will, platform game of life, and the laws of playing, culminates in thrilling collisions of exciting soundscapes.

Head start in Restaurant Preludi at 18:30. Discussion of the forthcoming concert.
