Willem Jeths premiere in Cello Biennale

The Cello Biennale Amsterdam is a ten-day international music festival based around the cello. Under the direction of assistant conductor Giuseppe Mengoli, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra will play a world premiere by Willem Jeths. He composed his Cello Concerto No. 2 ‘Nell Oltretomba’ especially for the Cello Biennale and the German-Canadian soloist Johannes Moser. Victor Julien-Laferrière is the soloist in Shostakovich’s virtuoso Cello Concerto.
