Willem Jeths: Recorder Concerto
The Leipziger Symphonieorchester, conducted by Robbert van Steijn, presents the program “Oost West, Thuis Best” featuring the Willem Jeths’ Recorder Concerto with soloist Hannah Erxleben. Performances take place on June 5-7, and include works by Rossini, Marzocchi, and Beethoven.
Willem Jeths’ Recorder Concerto (2014) is a significant contemporary work written specifically for the Dutch virtuoso Erik Bosgraaf. It is celebrated for its dramatic intensity and its ability to integrate the recorder into a massive orchestral setting.
