Rokus de Groot / Wilma Pistorius

Works for 5-string cello performed by Jeroen den Herder

In addition to works by Bach, you will hear the premiere of a new composition by Rokus de Groot and music by Wilma Pistorius. In addition to the improvisations, Jeroen den Herder and Bart van Rosmalen will discuss what ‘learning’ means and how CelloWercken itself works with this. Bart van Rosmalen stimulates the playing, the story and the creativity of professionals in organizations through musical work. His cello is his faithful companion. That is why he often calls himself CIO: Cellist in Organizations.
The composition A.D.A. by Wilma Pistorius – written especially for Den Herder, her former teacher – was previously premiered during the Amsterdam Cello Biennale. Biennale TV made a beautiful video in which Wilma talks about her inspiration and working method. We will share it further on.
