Wounds of the World; new compositions by Oelbrandt, Tarenskeen, Van Norden and more

A number of composers have put their heads together and want to bring contemporary Dutch songwriting to life in the Tuinzaal of Akoesticum (Ede) on Saturday afternoon, 18 June at 15:00 hrs. The concert will be called Wounds of the World, after a text by the 13th century poet Rutebeuf (Les plaies du monde), set to music by Sylvia Maessen. The composers are hoping for a large audience, but first of all for sufficient donations to be able to realise the concert at all.

They have provided the singers and pianists themselves, so that not only will a variety of new compositions be heard at the concert, but also a variety of singers and accompanists. The composers will briefly explain our work during the concert and look forward to meeting our audience during the break and afterwards.
