Andries van Rossem at the Day of the Composer

On Saturday, June 18, 2022, New Music NOW will launch the first Composer’s Day. A feast of new music with more than 100 concerts in 1 day. Music by composers active in the Netherlands can be heard throughout the country: not only in concert halls and theatres, but also from clock towers, on the street and in living rooms. From early to late, NPO Radio 4 focuses on the Dutch composer. NTR and VPRO provide a live broadcast from TivoliVredenburg and New Music NOW streams throughout the day. Besides Utrecht, other cities also celebrate Composer’s Day, such as Amsterdam, The Hague, Den Bosch, Tilburg, Zwolle, Enschede, Arnhem and Amersfoort. The day will start in Utrecht with the unveiling and playing of the Greatest Graphic Score. View the program per city at www.newmusicnow.nl

Composers Andries van Rossem and Nico Huijbregts will have their say in bookshop Het Colofon – books, music & coffee in Arnhem. Their music is performed by Ensemble Ruspoli.
