M. Knigge: Maangezicht & Arr Max Knigge; G. Lago: New work
LUDWIG accompanies two storytellers in this concert: an instrumentalist and a composer. ‘Vincent van Amsterdam is an extremely fascinating storyteller. He fills the room with his personality.’ That was the verdict of the jury when the accordionist won the first prize and the audience prize of Dutch Classical Talent in 2016. Since then he has been going through the accordion world like a whirlwind. Mahler also tells a story of a young man trying to find his way through life, suffering from weltschmerz, having a conversation with a chaffinch and drowning in the blue eyes of his lover.
