Ton de Leeuw: Transparence

This year, the Nederlands Studenten Kamerkoor (NSK) is going in search of transparency – inspired by Ton de Leeuw’s intriguing choral work Transparence, which is on our program this year. How do voices sound when they come together in complete clarity? How do we achieve that complete clarity, where everything shows itself as it is? When the mist lifts – gone noise, gone whoosh.

Transparent is a search for convergence. Van Hammond organ and choir. From singers and audience. Of music and movement. Of genres.

Discover how Johannes Brahms and Frank Ocean share the same passion, Olivier Messiaen and Herbie Hancock show the same passion for experimentation and how Ton de Leeuw and Harrie Bannink are closer together than expected.
