Shalygin: Blessing & Lunyov: Christmas Carols

Notes from Ukraine; A 100-Year Celebration of “Carol of the Bells”

Originally written in 2018 for string quartet and tenor, Shalygin’s Blessing was composed on the occasion of the 25th wedding anniversary of Margriet and Davo van Peursen. Meanwhile a choir version and a saxophone quartet version have been written and performed. A new orchestral version will be premiered by the Müncher Philharmoniker. Several Christmas songs by Svyatoslav Lunyov will be performed as well. The concert will be recorded and available as stream afterwards.
