Svyatoslav Lunyov in IM SPIEGEL

The third concert in the IM SPIEGEL series organized by the CosmoKultur St. Gallen association will present one of Svyatoslav Lunyov’s most important compositions, “Tristium” from 2004 for string orchestra.

In the first part of “Tristium” the motif of the famous Ukrainian song “The wide Dnieper rushes and moans” is heard, an endless folk canon, which draws the uninterrupted flow of the river with its sounds, an allegory of eternity.

The ‘Day Music’ is the time it takes to walk the distance from the apartment to the train station. The rest of the time is Night Music.
